The History of EHS

History of EHS

EHS is the synthesis of two historical conferences:

  • The Seeds of Doubt Conference, a conference examining the health effects of GMO technology, pesticides, and growing concerns of toxicity worldwide

  • and the "Annual Updates in Environmental Medicine", a research and treatment-driven meeting for clinicians specializing in environmental medicine.

In 2015, these conferences merged to create an authoritative community of clinicians and allied providers who learn how to identify environmental toxicants in their assessment, evaluation and treatment of patients.

We believe that healthcare providers can no longer afford to ignore the reality of environmentally-induced disease. Clinicians and the peer-reviewed literature have amassed sufficient evidence to link these current epidemics of chronic disease to toxicant exposure. Assessing body burden of toxicants is available, and effective strategies to reduce this body burden have already been developed.

Environmental Health Symposium (EHS) has stepped in to fill this need. Our mission is to properly educate healthcare providers in diagnosing and treating environmentally induced illnesses and we are dedicated to addressing current issues in environmental exposures that directly affect the health and vitality of our current population.

The annual EHS Conference provides physicians with an extraordinary opportunity to learn from internationally recognized experts and clinicians in environmental medicine. Speakers present emerging research and current protocols that empower physicians to maximize successful patient outcomes.
